A beautifully imperfect vintage studio pottery vessel with a rounded, almost ancient form and two small loop handles. The surface is the real draw here: earthy ochre, rust, deep brown and smoky charcoal tones move across the pot in an irregular, painterly glaze.
There is something distinctly primitive and sculptural about it. The uneven finish, glaze drips, spotting and variations give it the character of a piece that was made by hand rather than designed to be perfectly uniform. It looks just as good empty as it would holding a loose arrangement of branches or dried stems.
A great piece for a shelf, console, kitchen or mixed pottery collection, particularly in an interior that needs something a little less polished.
