Pair of Vintage Raymor Italian Ceramic Giraffe Lamps

An exceptional matching pair of vintage Raymor ceramic table lamps, made in Italy circa 1950s–1960s.

Tall, slender ceramic bodies are finished in a deep charcoal-black glaze and decorated with whimsical white sgraffito giraffes carved into the surface. Each lamp sits on a warm walnut base, creating that unmistakable combination of playful Italian modernism and sculptural mid-century design.

The proportions are particularly beautiful — exceptionally tall and narrow at approximately 33 inches high and just 6 inches in diameter — making them substantial statement lamps without feeling visually heavy.

Raymor was an influential American importer and distributor responsible for bringing some of the most exciting Italian modern ceramics and decorative objects to the North American market during the mid-century period. Today, Raymor lighting and ceramics are highly collected.
